The Vaulknut symbol is said to have been associated with Odin. It is said that the symbol was worn by Odin´s warriors - a select group of men, who said that they were worthy as his army of fighters. The bearers of this symbol would be worthy to die in battle for Odin´s cause. Ancient artwork depects Odin´s horse in battle and the Vaulknut symbol is clearly visible on the horse.
